The large, oblong blooms combine shades of raspberry, nasturtium orange, and tangerine in ways that are absolutely riveting, especially when matched up with white. Like those of other "French" Single Late varieties the stems of 'Dordogne' are long (to 27in) and graceful, making a marvelous cut flower, to which end many thousands are grown in the south of France. These bulbs are more perennial than most hybrid Tulips. A late bloomer.
